The pedal jack is provided so that you can control the Provibe speed externally. In order to use a pedal, you'll need one with a dual - ganged potentiometer with a value of 100K Ohms or higher. You can use any of the passive stereo volume pedals commonly available from Dunlop or Ernie Ball, among others. A custom wiring job is required, so it's a good idea to go to a qualified technician with the schematic diagram above if you're interested in having a pedal wired for speed control. Technical info - Ideally, the dual ganged potentiometer should be 250 K Ohms, reverse - log taper. A 100 K Ohm, Linear taper pot is acceptable. Lower values are not recommended because this will decrease the speed range by increasing the slowest speed.
